Beautiful risks
In Political Québécois, the beautiful risk is the idea-key of the government Lévesque making following the defeat chief clerk of 1980 and with the repatriation of the Canadian constitution without the agreement of Quebec by the government of Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
It was about the setting on side of the idea of sovereignty to the profit of a new agreement with Canada. The Parti Québécois was committed supporting the Parti progressist-conservative Brian Mulroney with an aim of reforming the Canadian federalism.
This radical change of position involved a crisis interns and several deputies of the Québécois Party were detached from the party: Pierre De Bellefeuille, Jacques Parizeau, Camille Laurin, Jacques Léonard, Gilbert Paquette, Denise Leblanc and Louise Harel.
Ultimement, Brian Mulroney was elected and the reform project known under the name of the Accord of the lake Meech proved to be a failure.
