Beautiful and Sebastien

Beautiful and Sebastien are a novel of Cécile Aubry in connection with a six year old child named Sebastien and its Belle dog, which live in a small village of mountain close to the border between the France and the Italy. Beautiful and Sebastien were the subject of an adaptation in television serial in 1965 like in cartoon twenty years later.

The cartoon

Its original name is Meiken Jolie . Created in 1980, it is a Japanese production between the companies MK Company , Visual 80 Productions and Toho Company, Ltd. , under the direction of Toshiyuki Kashiwakura. The characters are drawn by Shuichi Seki. The cartoon was diffused on French television in 1983 and comprises 52 24 minutes episodes each one.
