Beautiful-air (subway of Paris)

Beautiful-Air is a station of the Métro of Paris on the line 6, in the 12 {{E}} district of Paris.

The station

The station Beautiful-Air is located on the Boulevard of Picpus, between the districts of Picpus and Beautiful-Air. The station is air, on the level of surface, but the ways are underground upstream like downstream: the oars thus go up towards surface by joining the station to go down again while leaving it. This layout is explained by the need for preserving the ways of Railroad which connected the station of Paris Bastille to the valley of the Marne, via the station of Reuilly, and which took along the Parisian workmen towards the Guinguette S. the station the trench spans thus by which the railways passed.

In the vicinity

The ways of the Line of Vincennes, connecting the Gare of the Bastille to the valley of the Marne, whose Beautiful-Air was a station, were deposited and their influence was converted since the Années 1990 into a planted Promenade, green area connecting to the accesses of the Bastille to the Porte of Montempoivre, very appreciated Sunday strollers. The practice of the bicycle and the roller skates is authorized on this portion of the walk.

The hospital Rothschild is in the vicinity immediate, the hospital Armand Trousseau (hospital for children) is with some steps.

The single exit of the station is accessible in tail from oar since Nation, at the head since Star.
