Beautiful-Beille

Beautiful-Beille is a district angevin born in the years 1950 and which counts approximately 13.000 inhabitants today. Half of its population has less than 25 years. To a park of residences made up for more of two thirds of locatives HLM, a strong prevalence of the workmen and employees correspond.

Green areas

The inhabitants profit from the presence of the park of the wild rabbit, spaces wooded which borders the Saint Nicolas's Day pond. This park is one of the 4 large parks semi-natural known as " Saint-Nicolas" who cover on the whole 112 hectares between Angers and Avrillé.

Higher education

One finds one of the three there Campus of the university of Angers with the Faculty of Arts, Langues and Social sciences, the Faculty of Science, the IUT (Academic institute of Technology), the ISTIA (Institute of higher learning of the Techniques of the Engineer) the ESSCA and the National institute of Horticulture. Two schools specialized in the social domain are installed there. In addition to the Campus, it accommodates the principal scientific park of Angers Technopole, specialized in vegetable biotechnologies. The students have of a library, a restaurant, a house of the student and residences on and around the campus.

Trade

The trade are rather badly distributed on the district and especially offset. Essence is gathered along the Patton avenue in the south, the others are located in the shopping mall " Beaussier" around a Super U in the west. This supermarket is besides the only food surface of the district if one excludes the store Lidl and the grocer Spar .

Presence of some average surfaces specialized at the western end of the district, in limit of Angers and Beaucouzé. One finds there also mavoula services a space of communication (Internet, photocopy, fax, phone box…) and of meeting on exotic products (sale of the food products from Africa…).

Public services

Town hall of district and library are concentrated in the center Jacques Tati . A social center of the CIF and a social antenna of the DDSS have foot in the district.

The city has creates “the House of the pond” which accommodates associations. It also created a social restaurant “Restaurant-barter” .

Two cribs: a family crib and a municipal collective crib.

It is in Belle Beille that the regional delegation of the CNFPT (National center of the territorial public function) as well as the ENACT is installed (National school of application of the territorial executives). It is as with Beautiful-Beille as the seat of the Gendarmerie of Angers is.

Employment

The principal employer of the district was Bull for a long time. Today the site is occupied by NEC Computers . The old factory ACT , as for it, shelters from now on the warehouses of the company NOZ . Beautiful-Beille of the 41 free zones in France is one.

Urban transport

the district is served by 3 lines of bus COTRA (1,6,8).
the line B of the Tramway Rainbow will pass by Beautiful-Beille at the horizon 2015. It will start from Beaucouzé, will cross the university campus before borrowing the Patton avenue to join the Saint-Laud station.

Notice

Officially, the limit between the districts of the Maine Lake and Beautiful-Beille is the Patton Avenue, but for the inhabitants, the natural limit is the by-pass or the Paris-Nantes road.
