- Barthelemy de Laffemas (1545 Beausemblant - towards 1612 Paris): economist, it sought to rectify manufactures of the kingdom of Henri IV. By its theories mercantilists, it aimed at limiting the imports in particular the massive plantations of mulberry trees reflect fine with the purchase of the Italian silk trade. It gave again an unquestionable activity with French industry.
