Beauport (Quebec)
The Town of Beauport was created in 1976 following the fusion of several municipalities (Beauport, Giffard, Saint-Michel-Archangel, Villeneuve, Montmorency, Courville and Holy-Therese-of-Lisieux). In 2002, Beauport was again amalgamated, this time, with the town of Quebec. Beauport is the fifth district of the city, whose limits correspond to the old municipality of the same name. It is the district located more at the east of the city. Its south-eastern limit follows bank of the Fleuve the St. Lawrence, of battures of Beauport to the mouth of the Rivière Montmorency close to the falls of the same name. The district extends towards north on ten kilometers.
