Beaune-the-Mines ( Beuna in occitan) is a village of the department of the High-Vienna, depend on the common of Limoges since 1962 (before, the village was a commune).

Beaune-the-mines is located at 11 km in the north of the downtown area of Limoges, at 6 km in the north of the wood of the Country house and at 4,5 km in the north of Beaubreuil, between the communes of Rilhac-Ransom, Bonnac-the-Coast and Chaptelat, not far from the highway A20.
