Beaumont-on-Oise
Beaumont-on-Oise is a common French, located in the department of the Val-d'Oise and the area Île-de-France. Its inhabitants is called Beaumontois.
Geography
Beaumont-on-Oise is located at 30 km in the north of Paris, between the valley of the Oise and the Forêt of Carnelle.The commune is bordering on Persan, Heather-on-Oise, Noisy-on-Oise, Presles, Nointel and Mours.
Heraldic
History
The name comes from Latin bellus , beautiful, and Mons , mount and of the river which bathes the commune.
The site is already an urban center and a strategic crossroads as of the 1st century after J. - C. With the the Middle Ages, the parish develops around a church Carolingienne built with the site of strong the antique. The borough is victim of the disorders of the Guerre One hundred Year old, and occupied by the English until in 1440. The village, primarily agricultural, develops around its medieval core. At the 18th century, the county is sold with François-Louis de Bourbon prince of Conti. At the 19th century, the commune makes important great strides of its residential districts due on arrival of the Railroad and to the growth of the industrial town close to Persan.

It has a Romance keep rectangular with 25 meters height and 5 meters broad flat buttresses. It was probably set up by the count Mathieu (1090 - 1151) in order to replace a preceding timber structure.
the hotel of the Crescent (2, rue Basse- of-the-Valley) is an old relay of station on the road of Paris to Beauvais built at the 17th century. It draws its name according to the legend from a metal crescent which decorated the top of the porch.
An old house (8, rue Albert Ier) presents its equipment of wood sides; it would date from the 16th century.
the cinema “the De luxe hotel” was built starting from 1914. Its frontage is characteristic of the style Art déco, which developed in the years 1930.
