Beatty is a locality of the Comté of Nye, with the Nevada, the United States, located on the Amargosa River. Its population was of 1.154 inhabitants at the time of the census of 2000. The city was named name of Murray " Old Man" Beatty, which installed a Ranch in this zone at the end of the XIXème century. He will die in December 1908.

Beatty is localized with, with 3.320 feet of Altitude.

According to the Office of census of the United States, the Ville has an entire surface of 454,9 km ².

History

Beatty developed in the Disctrict de Bullfrog during the same period of the creation of 5 other mining hamlets in its immediate surroundings: Original Bullfrog, Amargosa, Bullfrog, Bonanza and Gold Center. These 6 hamlets gave rise to the town of Rhyolite which counted nearly 10.000 inhabitants in 1907 then who was abandoned as from 1908. Of these cities, only Beatty exists still today.
