Its Majestée the Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands (complete name: Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard van Oranje-Nassau ), born the January 31st 1938, is Reine Netherlands since the April 30th 1980. By its paternal ascent, it is moreover princess of Lippe-Biesterfeld.
Biography
Exit of the House of Orange-Nassau, it is born the January 31st 1938. It is the girl of the queen Juliana of the Netherlands (1909 - 2004), queen of the Netherlands of 1948 with 1980 and of the German Prince Consort Bernhard zur Lippe Biesterfeld (1911 - 2004), count de Lippe-Biesterfeld, count de Schwalenberg and Sternberg.
She married, the March 10th 1966 with Amsterdam, the German Claus von Amsberg (1926 - 2002), become on this occasion the Prince Consort Claus of the Netherlands, of which she had three wire:
- the prince-heir Willem-Alexander Claus George Ferdinand van Oranje Nassau, born the April 27th 1967,
- the prince Johan Friso of Orange-Nassau, born the September 25th 1968
- the prince Constantijn of Holland, born the October 11th 1969
It is crowned queen of the Netherlands the April 30th 1980 with old 42 years, after the abdication of her mother Juliana of the Netherlands. She resides at the Huis ten Bosch, close to $the Hague.
The queen lost her husband in 2002, and her two parents in 2004. She was hospitalized at the Haga hospital of $the Hague the December 30th 2005 to undergo an operation of left prosthesis of Genou. In 2005, it celebrates with old 67 years its jubilee of money (25 years of reign), national day with the Netherlands where the country is transformed for the occasion into gigantic Brocante. Jubilee celebrated by the queen and her family with Scheveningen, a seaside resort of $the Hague, then by a round in 12 provinces of Holland and the Dutch colonies (money Jubilee of the Beatrix queen of the Netherlands)
The Béatrix queen is member honorary of the humanistic association of the Club of Rome.
Dual nationality
According to the law professor of the migrations Ulli d' Oliveira, the queen of the Netherlands has two nationalities. Owing to the fact that it goes down from Sophie, électrice of Hanover, it is automatically British citizen. Its British nationality rises from The Act for the Naturalization off the Most Excellent Princess Sophia, Electress and Duchess Dowager off Hanover, and the Issue off her Body , of 1705. This law is not in force any more since 1948, but Beatrix was born in 1938.
