Beatrice II of Burgundy (1191 - 1231) born Beatrice de Hohenstaufen , was countess of Burgundy, duchess of Andechs and Méranie by her husband the duke Othon I {{er}} of Andechs and Méranie

Biography

  • 1197 the January 13rd his/her father is assassinated with Besancon (Comté of Burgundy) with old 32 years. His/her older sister Jeanne Ire of Burgundy succeeds to him as countess of Burgundy at the 9 years age

  • 1205 the countess Jeanne Ire of Burgundy dies at the 14 years age. Beatrice succeeds to him like countess of Burgundy
  • 1208 it marries the duke Othon I {{er}} of Andechs and of Méranie which also becomes by its marriage, count Othon II of Burgundy, of which it with a son the same year, the future count Othon III of Burgundy
  • 1209 birth of her daughter, future the countess Adélaïde Ire of Burgundy
  • 1231 it dies at the 40 years age, his/her son Othon III of Burgundy succeeds to him like count de Bourgogne
  • 1248 the count Othon III of Burgundy dies at the 40 years age without heir. The sister of Othon III, the countess Adelaide Ire of Burgundy, succeeds to him at the 39 years age
