At the time of the events of 1929, it is attacked by the Arab surroundings. In the years 1930, the kibbutz faces strong internal tensions ideological, which brings, in 1934, with a transfer of population; the members of Beït-Esparto, followers of the ideas of the Mapaï leave for the kibbutz Ramat-Yohanan, and conversely, the members of this last, closer to the ideas of Hashomer Hatsaïr integrate the kibbutz Beït-Esparto.
At the time of its foundation, the kibbutz faces many obstacles; opposition of the Bedouin of the area, heats of 40 degrees in summer, profusion of the marshes, various epidemics, which generates the transfer, by the kibbutz, certain grounds with the profit of KKL.
