Baylongue

The Baylongue or Baïlongue , coming from the High of Estialescq , is a left Affluent of the Baïsère or Baysère, itself flow left of the Baïse of Lasseube.

Etymology

Its name comes from Baigt Loungue “valley long” ( Baglongue in 1441).

Geography

Baylongue is born with High-of Estialescq. Paul Raymond presents it formed of the Chicq and the Caparrecq , perhaps by confusion with Laring.

It will be noted that the sequence Laring - Baylongue - Baïsère is more the long course of water forwarding by the borough of Monein. The Carte of Cassini calls it Baïse , meeting of l' Hibaruet (current the Laring ) and of the Candeloup (which corresponds to the higher course of the Baylongue on the modern charts).
