Bay of the Pigs
The Bay of the Pigs ( Bahía de Cochinos ) belonged to the southernmost coast of the island of Cuba, in a marshy zone of the province of Matanzas, in the west of the town of Cienfuegos.
The place became famous following an adventure of the international relations, known under the name of Débarquement of Bay of the Pigs the April 15th 1961.
The term actually does not refer to pigs, but to a kind of fish also called cochino in Spanish cuban.
