Bay of Veys
The Baie of Veys (of the name of the commune Veys), is broad a Estuaire where the four are thrown Fleuve S which irrigates the Regional natural park of the Marshes of Cotentin and Bessin: the Ditch and the Taute, close to Carentan, the Transfers and the Aure with Isigny-on-Sea. It marks the limit between the country of the Cotentin and the country of the Bessin.
Of low depth, to high Tide, the Bateau X must follow carefully two marked out channels which lead one to Carentan, the other with Isigny-on-Sea. These two port S transfer to die out a Cabotage dedicated with goods transport (wood import of North and butter export) in the years 1960.
With low tide, it is a sand desert of 7 km ².
The bay of Veys is the basin of culture of the Huître S of Isigny (10 000 tons per annum for 30.000 tons of oysters Normans).
One practices there, not only the fishing with foot of the hull S, with title amateur or professional, but also hunting for waterfowl on the shore or for the gabion.
