Bay (vizier)

Bay was a vizier of the Egyptian woman, perhaps of Syrian origin. He ensured the capacity in time that chancellor as of -1206 under the queen Taousert, woman of Séthi {{II}}.

In -1199, Sethnakht, perhaps one of the many descendants of Ramsès {{II}}, fight against the Syrian party, assassinates the Bay chancellor (?), then restores order and authority. He marries the Tii-Meryaset queen, who gives him a son, Ramsès.

Bay has a fall to Thèbes in the Vallée from the kings which bears the name Kv 13. This tomb was re-used to bury Amenherkhepshef.
