The Bay Arena is a Football stadium located at Leverkusen, the Bayer Leverkusen evolving/moving in championship of Germany disputes its home matches there since 1958.
The Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion , of the name of a former president of the firm Bayer, is inaugurated in 1958, its capacity rises then with 20.000 spectators. In 1963 the stage is equipped with a lighting system for the matches into night, then of a retractable translucent cover during its restoration in 1986. The capacity is carried in 22.500 seats in 1996, a heating system of the lawn is installed to protect the ground from freezing and the stage is finally renamed Bay Arena in 1998. It lays out conference rooms and of a restaurant with sight on the adventure playground. The hotel Lindner BayArena is contiguous to the northern platform.
The capacity of BayArena is too low so that it can accommodate meetings at the time of the world cup 2006, a project of enlarging was given up by the club and the municipality of Leverkusen.
