Baudouin Prot
Baudoin Prot (born the May 24th 1951) is a head of French undertaking. He is currently managing director of the group BNP Paribas, successor designated of Michel Pébereau. He is Chevalier of the National order of the Merit and Chevalier of the Légion of honor.
Biography
After studies with the College Saint-Louis-with-Gonzague in Paris, it is graduate in 1972 of HEC Paris, then it integrates the National school of administration (ENA) in the promotion Guernica (1976).It begins its career in the public office:
- General inspection of Finances (1976 - 1980).
- Assistant of the Managing director of Energy and the Raw materials to the Ministry for Industry (1980 - 1983).
It passes then in the world of the company in the companies lately nationalized by François Mitterrand:
- Beginnings at the National Bank of Paris (BNP) in 1983 where he is assistant editor of the Intercontinentale part.
- Directing Europe of 1984 to 1987.
- Directing with the Central management of the Underground railway networks (April 1987).
- Central director of the Networks (January 1990).
- Executive vice president in load of the Networks (July 1992).
- Managing director (September 1996).
- Administrator Delegated general director of BNP Paribas (March 2000).
- Administrator Managing director of BNP Paribas (June 2003).
Parallel to its functions at BNP Paribas, he is administrator of the group PR, Veolia Environnement and representative of the bank at the board of trustees of Accor. He was elected HEC of the year in 2003 and is administrator of group HEC.
