Batwing

The Batwing is the plane of Batman, created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in 1942. Although it has a certain look, it was not always similar. Its ancestor the Beat-gyro was used only a time because the man bat was interested by the VTOL (In French aircraft of takeoffs and vertical landings). With regard to BatWing, it was before called Batplane (Bat=chauve-souris; plane=avion) , but in 1992 the series calls the plane of Batman BatWing because its form was more comparable with the wings of the bat (Wing=aile ). Various looks of Batplane

In 1943, Batman & Robin must go to stop an enemy but Batmobile is not fast enough, however Alfred wanted to make test with its 2 dispensers of justice a 18 m length plane on 5,18 m broad.

This first Batplane especially did not revolutionize the universe of the plane considering the circumstances of the plane at the time, indeed its style was not very developed (contrary to Tim Burton which revolutionized the universe of the Batmobile in 1989).

Cousins of BatWing

One cannot regard Batplane as the cousin of BatWing, however several flying equipments are used for Batman in its search against the crime which one counts:
  • Beats-coptère It

  • the Beat-Hang glider
  • the Beat-Rocket
  • Beats-Tourbillot It
  • Batcave Volante
  • the Beat-jet
