Battle of Vau-of-Pembe
The October 5th 1904, the king of the Cuamato, Tchetekelo, destroys a Portuguese column, with Vau-in Pembe, in the province of Cunene, in the south Angola. Meadows of 250 soldiers Portuguese lose the life in this rout.
This battle of the colonial wars belongs to the great African victories gained over a European power, as well as Isandhlwana, gained by the Zoulou S over the British in 1879, or that of Adoua gained by Abyssins over the Italians in 1896.
