Battle of Swally

naval Battle delivered 29 and November 30th 1612 to Surat in India, in the state of Gujarat.

Four Galion S of the British East India Company ordered by the Capitaine Thomas Best demolish a Portuguese fleet there. This battle rings the knell of the commercial monopoly of Portugal in the area and correlatively, mark the beginning of the rise of the British company of the Indies.
