Battle of Strong the Niagara
The battles of Strong the Niagara is the last major battle between French and English for the possession of the valley of the Ohio at the time of the Guerre Seven Year old. The catch of this fort was to make it possible to the British to attack the Quebec by the east (the general Wolfe coming from the east, after the catch of the fortress of Louisbourg). After the catch of Strong Duquesne in 1758, the British army wants to push its advantage and, the July 6th 1759, the small army of the general Prideaux arrives for Fort the Niagara. French defense was very voluntary and cost the life Prideaux. However, the English numerical superiority ended up bearing its fruits and the rendering of the fort are acquired by Sir William Johnson, successor of Prideaux the July 26th.
