Battle of Mizushima
The battles naval of Mizushima (水島の戦い) took place the November 17th 1183. One of the most important bases of Taira was on the small island off the coast of Shikoku. In November 1183, Minomoto No Yoshinaka sends an army to cross the Inland sea to go in Yashima, but it is stopped by Taira just from broad of Mizushima (水島), an small island of the province of Bitchu, just with broad of Honshū.
Will conceal, having attached their boats together, had placed floors between them to create a plane surface of combat. The battle opens with the shooting of a rain of arrows on the Minamoto boats, then when the boats were sufficiently close from/to each other, the combatants pass to the knife. After having overcome Minamoto present on the platform, Will conceal them, having brought horses very equipped on their boats, swim towards the coast with their dispach riders, and put in rout the last Minamoto combatants.
