Battle of Kojima
The battles of Kojima is an episode of the Guerre of Gempei which makes following the Bataille of Ichi-No-Tani. After this battle, the war knows a pause of approximately six months, during which Minamoto No Noriyori turns over to Kyōto.
Unfolding
Noriyori is again sent in forwarding, in October 1184, to make safe by the ground the provinces of the Région of Chūgoku, territory Taira par excellence, before going to Kyūshū. The October 8th, it leaves with troops coldly arrived the east and arrived to Harima, it is informed of activities of Taira in the port of Kojima, it decides to leave to tackle this position. Kojima is an small island, separated from Honshū by a fine arm of the sea, sufficiently broad however to block Noriyori, at least until a Samurai of the name of Moritsuna Sasaki unearths a fisherman who indicates a place sufficiently not very major to them to cross with their horses. Leaving with nobody the care to precede it with the combat, Sasaki engages the first its horse without preventing its allies. Noriyori then launches a load of cavalry which forces to them Taira to embark, and Will conceal No Sukimori, Arimori and Tadafusa engages of the exchanges of archery with the Minamoto until fallen the night, before putting their ships moving in direction of Shikoku. Not having ships to continue them, the cavalry of Noriyori can only look at them leaving.After that, there remains blocked on Honshū until the end of the year, blocked by the logistic difficulties and cannot continue its mission. It ends however up getting ships and then leaves to make safe Kyūshū in February 1185.
