In November 1478, the troops uranaises moved towards the south and passed the Gothard then started the seat of the town of Bellinzone (as of the November 30th 1478). The Confédérés tried to be introduced into the fortress via a breach in the south but did not manage to make fall the city.

Troops of the duke of the time, Jean Galéas Sforza, strong of 10  000 men, were sent in the area in order to push back Uranais but a regiment made up of almost 600 confederated succeeds in resisting and overcoming the Milanais.

The conflict ended in the abandonment of Léventine in Uranais. The duke of Milan preserved however the territories of Bellinzone.
