Battle of Fujigawa
The battles of Fujigawa (富士川の戦い, Fujigawa No Tatakai ), also known under the name of battles which never took place , is a famous episode of the Guerre of Gempei.
In order to quickly reconstitute troops after its return of exile and its defeat with Ishibashiyama, Minamoto No Yoritomo sent messengers to recruit other clans at his side. Whereas it crossed the area to the foot of the Mont Fuji in the Province of Suruga, it arranged an appointment with the Takeda clan and other families of the provinces of Kai and Kōzuke, in north. These allies arrived just in time to fight the Taira prosecutors.
According to the Azuma Kagami , soldiers of Minamoto disturbed a wild goose band in the night. The noise of their take-off made accept the Taira army that it was the target of a sudden attack, which made it panic and flee in disorder, leaving the victory to Yoritomo, which thus had the free field to seize the provinces of the East.
To the Japan, the name of this battle entered the history to indicate a victory acquired without fighting.
