Battle of Fraga

The battles of Fraga , is a crushing victory of the Almoravides gained on July 17th, 1134 close to Fraga over the Christian army directed by Alphonse 1 {{er}} '' the Fighter '', king d' Aragon.

After several successes gained over Almoravides, the Aragonese king carried out a long seat in front of the Aragonese locality of Fraga, but its inhabitants resisted this seat and asked for the assistance of Almoravides which came and beat the Aragonese forces. Alphonse Ier dies shortly after the battle, on September 7th, 1134, following the received wounds.
