Battle of Déols

The Bataille of Déols is famous a Bataille of the ancient Rome which was held in Gaulle at the 5th century, probably in 469.

The Breton of Armorique and they King Riothamus, combined Ravenne and friend of Sidoine Apollinaire, join together: 12000 men (according to Jordanès) to fight against the Visigoth S, on the call of the emperor Anthémius, and to defend the Aquitanian remained Roman.

The Breton ones are however beaten by the Visigoths with the battle of Déols (current suburbs of Chateauroux), without to have been able to operate its junction with federate Francs with the orders of Childéric and of the Count Paul, successor with Syagrius of the general Ægidius in the North of the Gaulle. Paul and the francs of Childéric however manage to hold Tours and Bourges.
