Two battles bear the name of battles of Courtrai :

• one opposed the king of France to the Flemish militia, in 1302: to see Battle of Courtrai (also called battles of the gold Spurs);
• the other opposed the revolutionary armed to the armies with kings d' Europe, in 1792: to see Battle of Courtrai.
