Battle of Castagnaro

The Bataille of Castagnaro is held in 1387 (during the pre-rebirth or Trecento ), in Italy. She opposes the troops of the town of Padoue to the troops of the towns of Vérone and Venice.

During two months, the mercenary John Hawkwood makes the seat in front of Vérone, but it must be withdrawn because it will be found isolated and crossed from its supply. Véronais continued it and catch up with it with Castagnaro.

Hawkwood which had fought in the English army can choose the ground, it makes put the archers ahead and part of its knights at foot, and keeps a reserve of cavalry.

Véronais knew practically the same fate as the French knights with Crécy and Poitiers. They became exhausted in vain loads and were finally demolished by the reserve of Hawkwood. ----
