Battle of Buxar

The Bataille of Buxar (November 1764) opposed the forces of the English Compagnie of the Indies Orientales to an army ordered by Mir Kasim, nabob of the Bengal and allied to the forces of Suja-ud-Daula, nabob of Awadh and suzerain of the Principauté of Bénarès and to those of the emperor moghol Shah Alam II. The battle proceeded with Buxar (in the actual position of the Bihar in India), on banks of the Gange. This decisive British victory made perennial the British domination on the Indian Sous-continent, started after the Bataille of Plassey.
