Battle of Bassano

The battles of Bassano took place the September 8th 1796, during the wars of the French revolution, in the Italian province of Venezia, between the French forces of the general Bonaparte and the Austrian forces of the count Wurmser. The battle showed a French victory. In their retirement, the Austrians gave up artillery, luggage and provisioning.
