Battle of Aboukir

There were various battles around Aboukir (Egypt) at the time of the wars of the Revolution (Campagne of Egypt):

  • the first was the battles naval of Aboukir , the 1798 at the time which Nelson destroyed the French fleet ordered by the admiral Brueys, which died during the battle;
  • the second was the battles terrestrial of Aboukir , the July 25th 1799 gained by Napoleon over the Janissaire S;
  • the last was the Siège of Aboukir , at the conclusion which the British general Abercromby removed the city in 1801.
