Batofar

The Batofar is a theater located at Paris, created in 1999 in old a Bateau-feu.

Batofar can accommodate to 300 people in 300 m2, of which a concert hall of 75 m2.

History

In France, only three “Lightship”, pertaining to the fleet of the boats of constraint, were preserved. Two are preserved in maritime museums and the third, coming from Ireland, prendses fasteners with Paris, in XIIIe district.

Conveyed in 1997, it is gradually rehabilitated out of cultural equipment by Signe association and Water, to give rise to Batofar in 1999. At the beginning, Batofar directs its artistic project in direction of the electronic musics and numerical arts. The place opened little by little with the whole of the Current musics.

New projects such as the Newspaper of Batofar or Internet site are launched.
