Bathysonde

A Bathysonde is a Capteur multiparameters used to acquire a continuous vertical profile of ographic measurements Océan.

A bathysonde measurement in general always:

  • the temperature
  • the pressure
and generally conductivity (from where its name " court" in English: Honest CTD , for Conductivity, Temperature, Depth )

According to the needs, a bathysonde can be provided with additional sensors (Turbidité, Chlorophylle, Oxygène dissolved, etc); it is often assembled on a sampling device of sea water named " Rivet washer " (barrel carrying of the bottles of taking away whose closing can be ordered surface). The samples collected can be used to calibrate the sensors of the bathysonde, by comparison with the measurements acquired at the time of the taking away.
