Basin-power station

The province of the central Basin is an old province of the Democratic republic of Congo. She is created in on August 14th, 1962, when that the country is divided into 21 provinces. The old province of Ecuador is divided into two, with the Basin-Power station and Ubangi. Its capital was Coquilhatville, today Mbandaka. February 5th, 1963, the province of Means-Congo is created starting from the part is province. April 25th, 1966, the province is joined together with the provinces of Ubangi, and Means-Congo for formed the province of the Ecuador (province).

Its president, and starting from October 1965, his governor, is Leon Engulu.
