Basilidès

Basilidès was a Byzantine, collaborator civil servant of the Emperor Justinien.

Its origins are unknown. Having received the dignity of Patrice into 528, he exerted the many ones and important functions:

  • prefect of the Court of the East in 528,

  • Member of the Commission Tribonien charged to establish the Code of Justinien,
  • prefect of the Court of Illyrie of 529 with 531,
  • vice-Master of the Offices in 531 - 532,
  • questeur of the Palate Crowned in 534 - 535,
  • main of the Offices of 536 with 539.
