The basil (also called " pistou") is a annual Plante of the family of the Lamiacées (labiacées, labiées), tribe of Ocimeae, cultivated like aromatic Plante and Condiment surface. It is the base of the Pesto, condiment emblematic of the Italian Cuisine.

Description

Culture

The culture of the basil requires a sunny , the Mediterranean N or tropical hot climate and . It can be also cultivated in moderated countries, that is to say out of pots or flowers stand, or open ground with the help of some precautions.

Uses

For the food
