Basic Level

In geomorphology, the basic level of a river is the point low towards which the river runs out. For the rivers, the basic level is the sea level, but generally, the rivers or the lakes are the basic level their affluents. It is it should be noted that the basic level can be under the sea level (Dead Sea, -417m).
