Barry Levinson is a realizer, actor, scenario writer and American producer, born the April 6th 1942 with Baltimore. Among his the most known films, one counts Rain Man and Good Morning Vietnam .

Biography

After studies in American University of Washington, Barry Levinson begins in the world from the Cinéma by writing for television series such The Marty Feldman comedy machine. It settles then with Los Angeles. Then, in 1976, Barry crosses the road of Mel Brooks. It is a great history which is being written. Indeed, a few months afterwards, the Last Madness realized by Mel Brooks, and written by Barry Levinson. Also the Big chill will leave, still with Mel Brooks as a realizer, and Barry Levinson in writing… Just afterwards, it is named with the Oscars as a scenario writer for Justice for all . Unfortunately, it will not have the privilege to have the statuette in its hands. But, in 1988, it knows finally the victory with Rain man , which obtained a phenomenal success. On return in its birthplace, Baltimore, it decides to pass behind the camera for Diner , for which it wrote the Scénario. It obtains a nomination with the Oscars again.
