Barretaine
Barretaine is a common French, located in the department of the the Jura and the area Franche-Comté.
Geography
Barretaine is a small village which is located on the edge of the first Jurassic plate at 585 m of altitude. In addition to its center, the village has two hamlets: Champvaux and Ressart.
Traditionally agriculture is turned towards the breeding of cows whose milk is intended for the manufacture of the County.
History
In 1806 the commune of Barretaine amalgamates with the small commune of Ressart. In 1821 the same operation occurs with the commune of Champvaux.
