Barquier

The barquiers were the Batelier S of the Canal of the South.

The owners barquiers had to them Barque (or Péniche), they generally worked in family, some had a sailor to help them.

Their trade was made Bordeaux with Marseilles and conversely while passing by the side Channel with the the Garonne, the Channel of the South, the pond of Thau, the pond of Vic, the Channel of the the Rhone in Sète and the Large Rhone to the Port-St-Louis-of-Rhone.
