Medieval period
There remains of important vestiges of the feudal time which developed a long time in Barnave. Most of the ruins of the old village are always visible, like some traces of the site of the castle. A large portion of the rampart and always upright (inhabited today), as well as the carries whose device supporting the harrow can be still well observed.
