Baotou

Baotou or Paotou (包头; Pinyin: Bāotóu) is more the big city of the Mongolia-Interior autonomous region of in China, with in 2001 approximately: 1146500 inhabitants for the urban population. The population of the municipality counts: 1671181 inhabitants for: 2969 square kilometers is a density of 563 inhabitants to the km ². It is located on northern bank of the Huang He. One speaks the dialect there about Baotou of the Jin.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Baotou exerts its jurisdiction on nine subdivisions - six districts, a county and two banners  :
  • the district of Kundulun - 昆都仑区 Kūndūlún Qū   ;
  • the district of Donghe - 东河区 Dōnghé Qū   ;
  • the district of Qingshan - 青山区 Qīngshān Qū   ;
  • the district of Shiguai - 石拐区 Shíguǎi Qū   ;
  • the district of Baiyunkuang - 白云矿区 Báiyún Kuàng Qū   ;
  • the district of Jiuyuan - 九原区 Jiǔyuán Qū   ;
  • the county of Guyang - 固阳县 Gùyáng Xiàn   ;
  • the right banner of Tumd - 土默特右旗 Tǔmòtè Yòu Qí   ;
  • the plain banner of Darhan Muminggan - 达尔罕茂明安联合旗 Dá' ěrhǎn Màomíng' ān Liánhé Qí .
