Banyuls-dels-Aspres

Banyuls-dels-Aspres is a common French, located in the department of the the Eastern Pyrenees and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Banyulencs.

Geography

History

The first mention of the village is gone back to 819, it indicates: " Villam Balnelonis cum ipso stagno". There was thus a pond near the antique locality. In 981 the name of " appears; Balneum" , the pond is always there.
