Banu Sulaym
The Banu Sulaym were the members of an Arab tribe originating in the Nejd in Arabia. They played a great part in the history of the Islam by lending Serment of allegiance to Mahomet in 629 and taking part in the catch of Mecque. They supported the first caliphs Omeyyades before joining with Ibn Al-Zubayr. On the order of the Caliph fatimide, they emigrate in North Africa via the Egypt at the 11th century. Their arrival was a big factor in the Arabisation linguistic and cultural of the the Maghreb, and in the diffusion of the Nomadisme where agriculture was already dominant.
