Banu Azd

Banu Azd is the name of an old Arab tribe .

History

Banu Azd belong to a vast tribal confederation of the Arabia, whose two principal branches occupied the Asir in the west and Oman in the east. Azd claimed an Yemeni origin (descendant of Qahtan).
