History
The first document mentioning Bantouzel is a letter of 1095 of the Cambric bishop. The following year, it is mentioned a Hugues Leu lord of Bantouzel. Other lords of the same family are quoted at the time of gifts with the abbey close to Vaucelles set up in 1132. To the 13th century the seigniory passes to the family of Thourotte.
