Bank off Ceylon

Bank off Ceylon is a banking group public sri lankais, which is one of the principal banks of the country.

  • 1939 : Foundation of Bank off Ceylon (BoC).

  • 1941 : BoC opens its first agency with Kandy.
  • 1949 : BoC opens its first agency with international with London.
  • 1961 : The east group nationalizes by the government sri lankais.
  • 1981 : The first agency Bank off Ceylon is opened with Malé with the Maldives.
  • 1996 : Creation of Nepal Bank off Ceylon of Joint Venture with a local partner, BoC has 45% of this new entity.
  • 2002 : Bank off Ceylon receives the Nepalese authorization of Central Bank to sell her 35% in NBC to its partner. The bank is famous Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank .
  • 2003 : BoC acquires 15% of Dawood Bank with the Pakistan.
