Bank of detail
The banks of detail carries on its activity near individual customers: private individuals (young people, fortunate or “deprived”, seniors, civils servant…) and companies of small size (tradesmen, craftsmen, liberal professions…) or averages (SME, SME, local government agencies, associations…).
It distributes a product range or services (saving, Crédit, means of payment, various services, of which products of Assurance) especially conceived for this type of customers. By protection measure, these products are strongly regulated by the public authorities.
The bank of detail put on the sale of the products, which it distinguishes more and more from their design and their realization. Other specialized structures take up these duties: insurance companies, management companies of financial credits (or “asset management”), processing centers of “flows” (means of payment).
If its organization varies according to its form legal (joint stock company, often dimensioned, or mutualist), the banking agency remains the heart of the bank of detail, in spite of the progressive installation of the other modes of contact or sale: Internet, platforms telephone…
The bank of detail is distinguished from the bank of financing and investment (“the large one banks”, which aims at great customers, in particular the large companies, known as “corporate”), or of the bank of the financial markets.
